Langleybury Estate located near Kings Langley in Hertfordshire is a 63 hectare site with a Grade II* listed mansion house at the centre of its historic core. The site also includes a number of other listed, derelict agricultural and secondary school buildings, as well as extensive parkland and some woodland. The Langleybury Mansion is a renowned filming location and provides an iconic focal point for the proposed development at Langleybury. The vision for the Hub is to create a new centre for the film and TV industry that offers a blend of uses complementary to the operations of the industry across the region. The proposal draws upon the rich history of the site and has been developed in a manner which is sensitive to the surrounding landscape. Central to this, and its Building with Nature Award, is a Green and Blue Infrastructure Strategy with a vision that aims to enhance the natural capital within the wider historic landscape by focusing on increased biodiversity, carbon capture and public accessibility.
