How are we working through Covid-19?

We would like to reassure you that Building with Nature is still here and still open for business during this time. We are responding to our clients, customers and partners needs during the Covid-19 crisis and offering support where we can to continue to deliver high-quality places for people and wildlife.

We are following Government guidelines, and our priority is to keep our team, and others safe. As a responsible business, we are however aware that some planning and development work will continue during this period, so we are finding creative ways to continue to support those who are using Building with Nature to improve their development and construction outputs.

We are taking key steps in response to this period of lockdown, including:

·        Our offices have now closed, and we are supporting our staff to work from home

·        Our staff are now working four days a week, but between them, someone will be available by email or telephone Mondays to Fridays every week

·        We are in the process of converting our resources to online products, including delivering Approved Assessor training and Local Planning Authority training online

·        We are currently producing new online learning materials (webinars, videos) for those who would like to find out more about Building with Nature and high-quality green infrastructure. We recognise lots of people are concentrating on CPD during this time, so look out for our material as it arrives.

·        Our new online training products will be available as soon as possible - please keep an eye on our ‘Training’ page for dates and times

In terms of our core business, we are still available for the following:

·        Advice, guidance and bespoke assistance for developers, planners and professions engaged in the design, delivery and long-term management and maintenance of green infrastructure

·        Our Standards are available by request to help to define and take action to deliver high-quality outcomes for people and wildlife by securing green infrastructure through the planning process

We wish you all well as you navigate the various challenges and tensions of this most strange of times, and we hope you are all immersing yourself in nature every opportunity you can – whether that be a responsible walk with the dog or members of your household in your local area, or watching the birds from your balcony, there is much to look forward to once we able to explore the landscape once more. This is why we are working hard to keep Building with Nature working in the months ahead.
